A White Treat With Shellfish
By HOWARD G. GOLDBERG

Vacationers in Languedoc, on France’s Mediterranean coast, adore a pale citric white made from Picpoul de Pinet, a regional grape.
Félines Jourdan’s 2007 version is addictive.
Its scent is honeylike, its flavor a bit herbal with lingering saltiness. If you match it with shellfish or snails with garlic butter, you may never revisit muscadet and Chablis.
