The history of the estate began in 1983, when the Jourdan family bought the "Domaine de Félines" in Mèze : 40 ha near the "Bassin de Thau". Then began a long campaign of plantation of improved varieties. Today in 1998, we find varieties, such as Merlot, Cabernet, Sauvignon, Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault for the black grapes and Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Piquepoul for the whites.
In 1990, the Jourdan family bought the "Domaine de la Coulette", in Montagnac : 80 ha of vineyards, garrigues, pines, almond-trees and fields. Clearing and rooting up helped to reveal soils composed of gravels and red earth which are among the best of the AOC Picpoul de Pinet.
1992 was the year of the first vinification of Picpoul de Pinet. The 1993 vintage received the Gold medal at the Narbonne Competition "Les Silènes". The 1994 and 1995 vintages received the Gold and the Silver medals at the Paris Agricultural Show.
Today, 70 ha are planted on the two estates. 3500 hl are produced at the "Domaine Félines Jourdan", including 750 hl of AOC Picpoul de Pinet.
